Lifestyle newborn sessions are the perfect way to capture your new baby in the comfort of your own home. The aim here is to isolate this very special moment in time in a way that feels relaxed and natural, not over-produced From shots in the new nursery and quality time with siblings, to snuggles with the family pet, and more, the goal is to capture the new addition to your family in a way that you'll be able to look back on and remember how you really were.
No posing (either of the baby or family) is done in-home, just gentle and relaxed direction, which allows for natural connection and interaction to occur. All family members are included.
Q: When is the best time for a newborn session?
I photograph most of my newborn sessions between the ages of 7-14 days. Although that time is ideal, I completely understand that emergencies arise. Please contact me and we will work something out. No matter what, we will get beautiful images of your precious baby.
Q: When should I schedule my newborn session?
Most of my clients book their newborn session between their second or third trimester. I only take a limited amount of sessions each month so my schedule fills up pretty quickly. It is best to contact me while you are still pregnant to ensure a spot on the calendar.

ABOUT THE SESSION
Maternity session is one to two hours long and it is done at the location of your choice. The location will largely depend on your preference. We can either photograph at an outdoor location or we can stay in the comfort of your home. I have my favorite spots within the San Francisco Bay Area but I am always open to discovering new ones. Ideally, maternity photo sessions should be scheduled during the 32-35 weeks of pregnancy. This is the time when the belly is nice and round but not too uncomfortable. These sessions are relaxed and fun. We are there to document the excitement and joy of bringing a new life into the family.
AFTER THE SESSION
About two weeks following the maternity session families will be able to view and download the web gallery with about 60+ hand edited images. The gallery download will be in the highest resolution. Once you download the images you will be able to share them amongst family and friends and print with whichever print company you prefer. The digital gallery that you receive will be connected with a reputable professional print company as an additional option. Black and white version of each color image is included as a bonus.
